Christ Presbyterian Church
We invite you to partner with us to hide the holy, God-breathed words of 1st Peter in our hearts. Together we will memorize this letter written to dispersed Believers of the early church—and to us today. They and we need to be assured of the living hope we have in the resurrection of Christ, loving him though we do not now see him, rejoicing with inexpressible joy even through trials, and preparing our minds for action by setting our hope fully on his grace. Doing this together means not that there will be tests of our abilities to memorize scripture, but that there will be mutual encouragement as we work through the letter, paragraph by paragraph, week by week, gradually soaking in the truths of God’s holy word. For more reasons to join us in memorizing, take a few minutes to read Barbaranne Kelly’s  June blog post for EnCourage. And for a review of the method we will use, check her follow-up post from July here. Sign up to get the materials for the program.
