Women of Purpose Conference April 13-14, 2018 Susan Hunt Registration – Chair: Kathy Horan (webmaster) Sets up registration online. Oversees the PayPal account and keeps track of registrations coming in online and through the office. Need: 1. 4 to 6 people to prepare folders, bags, and nametags prior to registration. Usually one to two weeks prior to conference 2. 4 to 5 people to work registration on Friday night. 3. One person for Saturday morning. (preferably lead person who worked Friday night. Promotion – Chair: Lane Speck Organizes and oversees the promotional packets that are delivered to the various churches in town and throughout PCA churches in Texas. Needs: 1. A couple of people that will hand deliver promo packets to churches in New Braunfels and San Antonio Decorations – Chair: Stefanie Bennett Oversees the decorations for the conference. Works with a committee to implement the plan. Needs: 1. A committee to help brainstorm ideas, design, procure, and decorate the EB and Sanctuary for the conference. Planning begins now and carries through to the end of the conference. Includes cleanup after the conference. Food – Chair: Cindy Showalter Oversees and plans the food to be served at the conference. Friday night dinner, Saturday morning breakfast, Saturday box lunch, along with all snacks and refreshments. Works with the deacons, who provide labor for the event. Friday Night Social – Chair: Ellen Snyder Oversees the Friday night social Needs: 1. Needs a committee to plan and implement the Friday night social after the opening session. To be held at Bavarian Village. Includes minor decorating to coordinate with the theme of the conference. Greeters – Chair:  Alexa Hartman Recruits and oversees the greeters for the conference. Creates schedule and communicates that to the greeters. Communicates with greeters concerning their roles and responsibilities for the conference. Needs: 1. 10 -12 people to be greeters Small Group Facilitators – Chair: Barbaranne Kelly Recruits and trains small group facilitators for the conference. Needs: 1. The number of small group facilitators depends on the number of attendees. Last year we had 14 and groups were too big. Need to address space issues as well. Bookstore – Chair: Lorie Donley Inventories books for sale, sets up the square for payments, sets up the bookstore and accounts for all monies received. Needs: 1. 3-4 people to help run the bookstore throughout the weekend, and take it down after the event is over. Speaker Hostess – Barbaranne Kelly Picks up speaker from the airport, takes her back and forth throughout the event and returns her to the airport at the end of the event. Photography – Beth Riggs Takes pictures throughout the event, works the photo booth, edits pictures and delivers to Women’s Ministries Coordinator for distribution. Music – Elizabeth Syverson Works with conference coordinator to choose music to be sung at the conference. Chooses and leads the music team for the conference.
