CPC New Braunfels is hosting a Theology Conference this year!

In this conference, we will explore Inerrancy, Infallibility, Perspicuity, Canonicity, the Relation of the Old Testament to the New Testament, and more. Our keynote speaker is the new President of RTS, Jackson, Mississippi, Dr. David Irving. Additional speakers include Dr. James Cassidy from South Austin OPC, and our own Rev. Nick Bullock.

About Our Speakers

Dr. David T. Irving

Dr. David T. Irving serves as President and Assistant Professor of Church History and Pastoral Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi. He was appointed to the role in June 2025, following faithful service as Pastor of Woodland Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. A graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary (MDiv, 2015), Dr. Irving also holds a PhD from the University of Mississippi. He is the author of Devote Yourself to Prayer: A Call to Pastors (Reformation Heritage Books, 2023), and brings a rich combination of pastoral experience and academic training to his leadership at RTS Jackson. With a deep commitment to the church and theological education, Dr. Irving is passionate about preparing students for faithful gospel ministry marked by both doctrinal depth and pastoral care. He is married to Sarah Grafton Irving, and they have four children.

Dr. James "Jim" Cassidy

Dr. James “Jim” Cassidy has been the Pastor of South Austin Presbyterian Church since its inception in July 2014 as a daughter congregation of Providence Presbyterian Church in Plugerville, Texas. Jim was raised in a Roman Catholic home in Edison, New Jersey. He was later led to the Lord by a friend in his sophomore year of college. His wife, Eve, was raised in Madison, New Jersey and was led to Christ through the ministry of Grace OPC in Westfield, New Jersey. She is a busy and active mother. Jim and Eve have been blessed with three children: Caitlyn, Ian, and Anna. Jim previously served in OPC pastorates in Pennsylvania (Johnstown) and New Jersey (Ringoes). In his ministry he has been and continues to be committed to proclaiming Christ and Him crucified from all the Scriptures. Jim earned an MDiv at Westminster Theological Seminary as well as the PhD in Historical and Theological Studies, concentrating in Systematic Theology. You can follow him on Twitter at @jjcassidy.

Rev. Nick Bullock

Rev. Nick Bullock is the Senior Pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church in New Braunfels, Texas. Nick is a native of Monticello, Mississippi. He holds degrees in Theology from Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi, and Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi and is currently a research student in Scottish Historical Theology with Edinburgh Theological Seminary, and the University of Glasgow, Scotland. Nick was ordained in the PCA Presbytery of the Mississippi Valley and served as Pastor of Second Presbyterian Church of Yazoo City, Mississippi before accepting the call to serve as a Missionary to Germany and Pastor of Covenant Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Stuttgart, Germany, where he and his family served for four years in church planting, and evangelism. Nick and his wife Elise are the parents of four children, Haddon, Benjamin, Owen, and Maggie.
